Bloody US hands to hold Libya?

The United States and NATO, which are committing crimes in Afghanistan today and bombarding civilians there, now will have military intervention in Libya.

Over 65 people, including women and children, have been killed in the Afghan province of Konar in the recent month. The US is much more brutal than Libyan President Muammar Ghaddafi when it comes to killing civilians.

Do the United States and European countries care about innocent people killed at the hands of Ghaddafi’s mercenaries, or are they thinking about their own interests, namely Libya’s oil?

Last month, Libya produced around 1.6 million barrels of oil 85% of which was exported. Italy, France and Germany are the major importers of Libya’s oil. The crude oil produced by the African nation is of very high quality. It has little sulfur, and can be refined at a very low cost. Oil revenues account for 90% of Libya’s income.

Libya threw off Italy’s yoke of domination once in 1947. Is the West trying to colonize Libya for its oil once again?

Ninety percent of Libya’s soil is arid land, and only two percent of the country’s soil is arable. Libya has no attraction for the West other than its oil.
