With only one day left until Troy Davis, an innocent man, is to be executed for a crime he clearly didn’t commit, there’s another innocent man that’s needing all of our support as well – Reggie Clemons. The link at the very bottom will send you to the blog dedicated in fighting for Mr. Clemons’ freedom, and I’d advise any and all to check it out and become aware of his story:
Reggie is an innocent man who has been on death row under extreme restrictions for 20 years. In 1991, he was arrested at his home without a warrant at the age of 19. Reggie recently turned 40 in August of 2011. Unfortunately, his story is not uncommon for black men in America, as it involves police brutality, being stripped of rights, due process, and being outright railroaded and framed.
This case is riddled with inconsistencies, holes, and lies. Once you start reading about it, it will take you down a path of twist and turns that will boggle your mind.
Reggie has spent most of his life locked up for a crime he did not commit and absolutely no physical evidence to prove that he did. It’s time that he be allowed to return to his life and be the loving father, artist, poet and extraordinary innovator that he is. He has over 100 inventions – all of which assists humanity in various ways.
